Month: January 2023
Day one of snow fort construction is under way! These boys have been patiently waiting for enough snow to build a snow fort! Mother Nature finally cooperated!
While we enjoyed the extra long weekend due to the recent snow storms, we enjoyed sledding at recess even more!
More fun with Non-Newtonian fluids! Many of us who have played with this stuff know it as “oobleck,” named after a sticky green goo in Dr. Seuss’ “Bartholomew and the Oobleck.” Scientists,
Ms. Heard’s third graders experimented with Non-Newtonian fluids today. They made Oobleck with cornstarch and water. Some enjoyed it more than others!
Fourth graders enjoyed time in the woods while the snow was falling on Thursday catching snowflakes and searching for animal tracks.
Students in Trish, Judy and Savannah’s class spent some time drawing cooperatively on plexiglass this week. They were quite creative together!
The January 13, 2023 edition of the Grey Wolf Gazette is available here!
Ms. Heard’s third graders spent some time checking out different birds up close with taxidermy models from the Harris Center.
Third graders trekked into the woods this week to look for signs and sounds of birds with our Harris Center educator John Benjamin. Where’s all the winter snow????
