Ms. Heard’s 3rd graders have been hard at work building a fort in the woods just off the playground. There has been lots of planning, collaboration and compromise as they design and construct the fort.
GES students are participating in our own version of March Madness with a Reading Bracket! Classes are reading 16 books over the next few weeks and voting on their favorites.
GES Preschool students engaged in some scientific discovery as they tested different objects to see if they would sink or float. They made predictions and then sorted the objects as they tested them.
Our First Friend’s Preschool students enjoyed exploring with water this week. They played at the water table, pouring, measuring and splashing!
GES students read a combined total of 6,748 minutes and raised $1,556 during our Read-a-thon thanks to so many generous sponsors! ConVal School Board Member Katharine Heck came and read with students today!

Greenfield Police Officer Frank Shea came to read Green Eggs and Ham with our K-1 classes on St. Patrick’s Day! Students enjoyed all the guest readers who visited us this week!
Students enjoyed favorite books read aloud by some guest readers this week. Our Custodian Mr. Chris shared How to Catch a Leprechaun with Mrs. Aborn’s 2nd graders.
Students in Mrs. Barnes’ and Mrs. Hodgen’s classes enjoyed reading Stranger In The Woods with special guest reader Mrs. Mayer during our Read-a-thon Fundraiser. Students have logged over 5,000 minutes reading and raised over $1,500 during the event so far,
