1st and 2nd graders had fun spending the day at Stonewall Farm. They fed goats, planted lettuce, and spent time learning about the ins and outs of the farm. Students had lunch and enjoyed time on the playground before returning to school.
Enjoying a Little Bit of Sunshine!
GES 4th Grade students enjoyed a little bit of sunshine this week after working hard on publishing their own books on mammals.
Dinosaur Adventure!
The first graders at GES have just finished a month long study on dinosaurs. We learned about their habitats, eating habits and adaptations that helped them to survive. The students used their research to design a costume that represented the dinosaur of their choosing. Recycled materials were used to create the costumes. They were so creative with their approaches! They learned songs about four types of dinosaurs and organized them to create a musical dinosaur adventure video. The video was made with green screen technology to make it look like our dinosaurs were right at home, 8 million years ago!
